  18. Announces CodeReviewer CASE Tool for NEXTSTEP
  19.  
  20. Software Services and Solutions, Inc., announced today shipment of
  21. CodeReviewer, a graphical CASE tool for software analysis and project tracking
  22. under NEXTSTEP.  CodeReviewer is currently shipping at a per-seat cost of $495
  23. (floating license), and discounted site licenses are available.  CodeReviewer
  24. is available now for NEXTSTEP on NeXT, 486, and Pentium, with ports to Motif
  25. under other Unix systems to follow.

  27. CodeReviewer helps track and manage changes to objects and other code in multi-
  28. person development efforts.  CodeReviewer allows project managers and
  29. developers to analyze versions of code visually and formally, according to
  30. industry-standard software metrics.  Visual analysis is supported for any type
  31. of code, while software metrics can be computed, compared, and graphed for C,
  32. C++, Objective-C, and YACC code.

  34. Developers can use CodeReviewer to quickly appraise the state of legacy code
  35. and the work that has been done on it in the past.  The complexity analysis
  36. functions of CodeReviewer can point developers to problem spots in code before
  37. they become bugs or maintenance headaches.

  39. CodeReviewer is fully integrated with NEXTSTEP, and its user interface is
  40. immediately familiar to users of standard NEXTSTEP applications.  CodeReviewer
  41. provides its analysis capabilities via inter-application services, as well, to
  42. allow easy integration with the current development environment.  CodeReviewer
  43. is capable of reading projects created by SS&S's DRCS graphical revision
  44. control system, as well as RCS directories.
